This pool side feature wall was just completed using a concrete style Venetian Plaster and organic coconut soap. We got to use some unique application techniques to get the look our clients wanted. This finish is unique in that a lot of the movement was introduced through using the trowel face rather than edge to smooth the plaster on the second coat, and then after fully curing, a final burnish was done while wet with coconut soap to add shine, compress and add more or less darker carbon looking areas. Doing the final polish and creating these colors after the product is dry is much easier than when wet as too much shine will be produced and too dark of areas will emerge from the carbon in the stainless trowel.
