Old World Plaster Fireplace in New Home Build

This is an old world fireplace install in a brand new home in Coquitlam. An Old world finish usually means it is having small holes or rips in the finish exposing the layers beneath, or it can be other finishes that all have some sense of inconsistency among them. Again we were given a paint color and a tile sample that were to be our foreground and background colors. The top coat was to reveal some of the lower coat which was a different darker shade than the lighter top plaster color. This finish was very hard to design at first, but after three samples we finally got the right color and texture combination.
